Young actor Logan Williams sadly passed away at the age of sixteen earlier this week. Marlyse Williams, Logan's mother, says he passed away suddenly, only days away from his seventeenth birthday. Since then, the tributes from friends and colleagues have been pouring in. The young actor is arguably best-known for his stint on The Flash TV series and star Grant Gustin was one of the first to pay tribute on social media. He had this to say.
"Just hearing the devastating news that Logan Williams has passed away suddenly. This picture was early in the filming of The Flash pilot episode back in 2014. I was so impressed by not only Logan's talent but his professionalism on set. My thoughts and prayers will be with him and his family during what is I'm sure an unimaginably difficult time for them. Please keep Logan and his family in your thoughts and prayers during what has been a strange and trying time for us all. Sending love to everyone."
The Flash actor John Wesley Shipp also posted some kind words about Logan Williams on social media. "Heartsick to learn of Logan Williams' death at 16," says Shipp. "He was 100% committed to playing young Barry Allen, and we missed him once we moved past that part of the story. Love and compassion to Logan's family and friends in your grief." From 2014 to 2015, Williams portrayed the younger version of Grant Gustin's Barry Allen on The CW's The Flash, starring in eight episodes across the first two seasons of the hit ArrowVerse show.
Logan Williams also starred in Hallmark's When Calls the Heart from 2014 to 2016. Co-star Erin Krakow remembers the young actor as a "beautiful, warm, silly, and talented young man. He could always make us laugh." She went on to say, "He was just shy of 17 and had what I'm sure would have been a very bright future ahead of him." In addition to the aforementioned roles, Williams also played Max Johnson on the immensely popular Supernatural series, which like The Flash, is also on The CW.
When Calls the Hear actor Mitchell Kummen tweeted, "My friend Logan Williams passed away yesterday. I am beyond sad! Proud to play older brother Dude... You were such a talent. Sending love to your mom." Kummen played Gabe Montgomery, who was the older brother to Logan Williams' Miles Montgomery on the show. It seems Williams touched a lot of people's lives over the course of his short career.
Logan Williams' family is devastated by his death and to make matters worse, the family cannot get together to grieve due to social distancing implementation during this crazy time. Logan's mother, Marlyse Williams, believes that he had a bright future head of himself in the entertainment industry. She says, "With his talent and gorgeous looks, Logan had the potential to be a huge star." From the sound of things, a lot of people felt the same way.
