It's been more than 11 years since the hit Disney Channel series Lizzie McGuire went off the air after just two seasons. Last night, there was a Lizzie McGuire mini-reunion, with Jake Thomas (Matt McGuire) posting a photo to his Twitter account today featuring himself alongside his co-stars Hilary Duff (Lizzie McGuire) and Lalaine (Miranda Sanchez). Is an actual TV series reunion in the works? There are no indications that this is happening, but since the photo has been spreading across the Internet today, it's clear that several fans want to see this happen.

Lizzie McGuire ran for 65 episodes over two seasons, between 2001 and 2004, which also spawned The Lizzie McGuire Movie in 2003. The series centered on Hilary Duff's title character, a junior high student trying to survive adolescence. Jake Thomas played Lizzie's younger brother Matt, with Lalaine portraying her best friend Miranda. The series also co-starred Adam Lamberg, Hallie Todd, Robert Carradine, Ashlie Brillault, Clayton Snyder, Kyle Downes and Christian Copelin.

Given the current climate of beloved shows from the 1980s (Beauty and the Beast), 1990s (Boy Meets World) and even the 2000s (Arrested Development) getting either the reboot or the sequel treatment, perhaps this photo could spark enough interest in a Lizzie McGuire reunion series.
