Netflix has shared some first look photos from their upcoming series Living With Yourself. The latest original show from the world's largest streaming service comes with the benefit of featuring Paul Rudd in his first-ever leading role on a TV series. Well, technically two leading roles, as the hook here is Rudd will be playing two different characters, or versions of the same character anyway. The hope seems to be that double the Rudd equals double the enjoyment and it's hard to argue against that logic.

The photos themselves lean heavily into the gimmick. We see Paul Rudd staring at the other Paul Rudd in one of the photos, who is holding a huge wad of $100 bills. Another sees both of them in a room meeting a couple of people, who we can't quite see, with bright purple furniture and walls galore. We do have one shot of a singular Rudd with his wife looking rather happy, with yet one more shot of both Rudds in a living room looking curiously at something off-screen that we aren't able to view. On their own, the photos are intriguing enough, but it certainly would be more interesting to see how this plays in a trailer, which we'll hopefully get sooner rather than later.

Living With Yourself is described as "an inventive existential comedy that asks: do we really want to be better?" The series centers on Miles (Paul Rudd), a man struggling in life. Miles decides to undergo a seemingly innocuous spa treatment that is said to make him a better person. However, things get tricky when he finds he's been replaced by a new and improved version of himself. Miles is then forced to deal with the unintended consequences of his actions and discovers that he will have to fight for his wife Kate (Aisling Bea), his career, and even his identity. It was also said by the streaming service that the show will unfold from multiple points of view.

Leaving the big screen for Netflix, Paul Rudd is coming hot off of Avengers: Endgame, which is officially the highest-grossing movie of all time. Rudd is also currently shooting Ghostbusters 2020, which is set to arrive in theaters next summer. Now he can add his very own TV series to his already impressive resume. The Ant-Man and The 40-Year-Old Virgin star previously worked with Netflix on projects like The Fundamentals of Caring and director Duncan Jones' Mute. Rudd also has starred on TV shows before, such as Parks and Recreation and Friends, but never in a leading role.

The series was created by Emmy winner Timothy Greenberg (The Daily Show with Jon Stewart). The first season will consist of eight episodes, with Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris (Little Miss Sunshine, Battle of the Sexes) serving as directors. Living With Yourself is set to debut on October 8. Be sure to check out the photos from Netflix's See What's Next Twitter account below.
