The first trailer for Legends of Tomorrow season 4 has arrived. The footage made its debut at San Diego Comic-Con at a panel to showcase the upcoming season of the DC series and The CW promptly dropped the trailer online for all to see. If you haven't kept up with Legends of Tomorrow, it's quite possibly the craziest comic book show on TV right now and this new trailer is proof that they're not afraid to get even weirder as the time-traveling heroes set out on another season's worth of adventures.

From the get-go, there are plenty of fan-pleasing moments in this first footage. The return of the giant, memorable fluffy monster Beebo helps get things going. Matt Ryan is also very present in the trailer as Constantine, who joins as a series regular after appearing in several episodes during season 3. As they say at the end of the trailer, "You're one of us." Gorilla Grodd is also back for a hot second. The Arrowverse heroes just can't seem to get rid of him, now can they? There are also unicorns, severed dragon heads and hippies in the 60s. This show is as bananas as it ever was. No question.

In Legends of Tomorrow season 4, the Legends continue their new mission to protect the timeline from temporal aberrations, unusual changes to history that spawn potentially catastrophic consequences. When Nate, the grandson of J.S.A. member Commander Steel, unexpectedly finds himself with powers, he must overcome his own insecurities and find the hero within himself. Ultimately, the Legends will clash with foes both past and present, to save the world from a mysterious new threat.

In other exciting news, Ramona Young (Blockers) joins the cast in the series regular role of Alaska Yu. She's a typical twenty-something easily swept up by romantic notions and fantasy novels, she's something of an expert in the world of the magical creatures that the Legends encounter in season 4. Perhaps even more exciting, Back to the Future star Tom Wilson has also joined the cast as Nate's father, Hank Heywood. With a lifetime in the military and Dept. of Defense, Hank is part of a long line of Heywoods to serve the country. Charming and charismatic, he's left big shoes for Nate to fill. They join Ava Sharpe (Jes Macallan) and Nora Darhk (Courtney Ford), who have also been added to the cast in season 4.

It was also revealed during the panel that Maisie Richardson-Sellers is playing a new character named Charlie this season. "[She's] a magical fugitive who slips through...She's a rebel without a cause, she's a trickster. She's on her own mission, and the Legends stumble upon her. She's going to shake up the ship," Richardson-Sellers said. Legends of Tomorrow season 4 arrives on October 22.
