Hung star Thomas Jane is in talks to star as gangster Bugsy Siegel in TNT's L.A. Noir. The pilot wrapped production over the weekend, although the actor may be featured in printed materials within the show, if a deal is made.
Jon Bernthal will star as L.A.P.D. cop Joe Teague, who lies at the heart of the police department's pursuit of notorious gangster Mickey Cohen. Milo Ventimiglia stars as a former Marine who served with Teague, and is now a lawyer for Cohen's mob. Neal McDonough stars as police chief Parker, with Jeffrey DeMunn and Andrew Rothenberg rounding out the cast. We also reported in March that Simon Pegg is guest-starring in the pilot.
Frank Darabont directed the pilot episode from his own script. He is also executive producing alongside Michael De Luca, Alissa Phillips, and Elliot Webb.
A decision is expected very soon on whether or not L.A. Noir will be picked up to series by TNT.
