WandaVision favorite Kathryn Hahn has just received her second Primetime Emmy Award nomination for her acclaimed role as Agatha Harkness on the hit Marvel series. In January, WandaVision premiered on Disney+ with Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany reprising their roles from the MCU. The series also debuted Hahn as Agatha, and her unforgettable performance very quickly put her among the most popular actors in the MCU.

It's not just the fans who've acknowledged Kathryn Hahn's acting abilities, as she's just been officially nominated for her second Emmy at the 73rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. For playing Agatha Harkness on WandaVision, Hahn is up for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie. The other nominees in that category are Renee Elise Goldsberry (Hamilton), Phillipa Soo (Hamilton), Julianne Nicholson (Mare of Easttown), Jean Smart (Mare of Easttown), and Moses Ingram (The Queen's Gambit).

The lead actors and Kathryn Hahn's WandaVision co-stars are both also up for acting awards. Elizabeth Olsen, who starred as Wanda Maximoff, is up for the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series for her role in WandaVision. The other nominees include Michaela Coel (I May Destroy You), Cynthia Erivo (Genius: Aretha), Anya Taylor-Joy (The Queen's Gambit), and Kate Winslet (Mare of Easttown).

Meanwhile, Vision actor Paul Bettany was also nominated for the Outstanding Lead Actor Emmy. He'll be going up against Hugh Grant (The Undoing), Ewan McGregor (Halston), Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton), and Leslie Odom Jr. (Hamilton). For the song "Agatha All Along," WandaVision is also nominated for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics. WandaVision itself is also up for Outstanding Limited Series with the series earning 23 awards overall.

At this year's MTV Movie & TV Awards, Hahn was also honored for her role as Agatha on the show. She won the award for Best Villain while Olsen got the win for Best Performance in a Show. WandaVision also won the award for Best Show at that event. Because of this, it was expected that the series may get a lot of attention at the Primetime Emmy Awards this year.

Kathryn Hahn has also been nominated for an Emmy for her acting in the past. In 2017, she was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in Transparent. She ultimately lost to Kate McKinnon for Saturday Night Live, but her new nomination for WandaVision will give her another chance for the gold.

WandaVision premiered on Disney+ in January. The show continues the events of the MCU following what happened in Avengers: Endgame, revealing that Wanda Maximoff and Vision have somehow wound up trapped in a sitcom-like reality. From out of nowhere, Hahn broke out as a fan favorite character for her performance and many have been dying to see her return to the MCU very soon, something Kevin Feige has teased.

Before then, we'll first see Kathryn Hahn in Knives Out 2. Directed by Rian Johnson for Netflix, the sequel features an all-star ensemble cast with Hahn appearing alongside Daniel Craig, Dave Bautista, Edward Norton, Kate Hudson, and more. A release date hasn't yet been set but production is currently underway.

The 73rd Emmy Awards will be hosted by Cedric the Entertainer, and the show will be broadcast on Sunday, September 19th, from 8:00-11:00 p.m ET (5:00-8:00 p.m. PT). The event will also be made available to stream live and on demand on the streaming platform Paramount+.
