Jimmy Kimmel was involved in a head-on collision that wrecked his car on Sunset Blvd. The host of Jimmy Kimmel Live! was lucky that there were no injuries after both vehicles had their airbags go off during the crash. Kimmel was recently all over the news for an entirely different matter when he had adult film star Stormy Daniels on his show to discuss her alleged 2006 affair with President Donald Trump. Kimmel interviewed Daniels on the night of Trump's first ever State of the Union Address.

According to witnesses, Jimmy Kimmel crashed his BMW SUV into an Audi after he made an illegal right-hand turn on Sunset in West Hollywood. Pictures from the scene show Kimmel's mangled BMW bashed into the Audi. Other pictures from the accident show Jimmy Kimmel on the phone while standing next to the driver of the Audi. Kimmel was reportedly on his way to rehearsal for the 2018 Academy Awards. As previously noted, nobody was injured in the accident, despite how bad Kimmel's car looked afterwards. The Audi looks much better in comparison.

Jimmy Kimmel is set to host the Academy Awards for the second year in a row and many are wondering how the comedian will handle talking about all of the sexual misconduct stories of 2017. As it turns out, Kimmel isn't worried about it and has a damned if you, damned if you don't attitude about making jokes about such a serious matter. The host knows that he'll end up making someone angry, no matter what. He had this to say.

"I think there are certain groups of people who think I shouldn't make any jokes about that situation. And there are groups of people who will be mad if I don't make jokes about that situation. So you just kind of have to figure it out. Whatever I do will be criticized by someone. Like, You didn't make enough jokes about Harvey Weinstein."

Part of the reason Jimmy Kimmel isn't really worried about the hosting situation is because that's what he does for a living. He's addressed all of the allegations against Harvey Weinstein and many more men on his show, numerous times. Including recently having Stormy Daniels on the show to talk about her relationship with the president of the United States. He explains.

"One news article can write that I didn't say anything about Harvey Weinstein, and then that becomes fact... Something terrible happens every day. If you mentioned this and you don't mention that, then you don't care about these people. You do have to remind people that ultimately it is a comedy show. Even though we may from time to time talk about serious subjects, if people are not laughing at least three nights out of the week, they're not going to watch it anymore."

Thankfully nobody was injured when Jimmy Kimmel made an illegal turn on to Sunset. At least the guy in the Audi will have a good story to tell friends and family. As for Kimmel, he can be seen during the week on Jimmy Kimmel Live and he'll be hosting the Academy Awards on March 4th. You can check out more information about Kimmel's car accident over at TMZ.
