It has been awhile, but we finally have our first look at Jessica Jones season 3. Today, Netflix has launched the release date announcement teaser along with several first look images. We can expect the final episodes for Marvel's final Netflix series in just a few weeks.

Sometimes not even 'heroes' can save themselves. Marvel's Jessica Jones season 3 begins June 14th. This will be the final season for what was initially the second Marvel series released as a Netflix original. It was the final show to get the axe, following the unceremonious conclusions of Iron First, Luke Cage, Daredevil and The Punisher in that order. The other shows were canceled after their final episodes premiered on the streaming service. Jessica Jones season 3 is the first to arrive with fans knowing full well that this will be the last ride for this MCU hero.

Netflix announces that the final season of Jessica Jones, the groundbreaking, award-winning series about a New York City private investigator with incredible strength, will launch everywhere on Friday, June 14. All 13 episodes will be released to Netflix members globally on this date.

In season 3, When Jessica (Krysten Ritter) crosses paths with a highly intelligent psychopath, she and Trish (Rachael Taylor) must repair their fractured relationship and team up to take him down.  But a devastating loss reveals their conflicting ideas of heroism and sets them on a collision course that will forever change them both.

The series is executive produced by showrunner Melissa Rosenberg (Dexter) and Jeph Loeb (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage) who also serves as Marvel's Head of Television. Jessica Jones is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios for Netflix.

Season three cast also features Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix Trilogy), Eka Darville (Empire), Benjamin Walker (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter), Jeremy Bobb (Russian Doll), Sarita Choudhury (Homeland), Tiffany Mack (Hap and Leonard), Jessica Frances Dukes (The Good Wife), Aneesh Sheth (New Amsterdam) and Rebecca DeMornay (}The Hand that Rocks the Cradle}).

These will officially be the final episodes for Marvel's Jessica Jones, but it has been heavily teased that all of Netflix's original Marvel heroes may return in some capacity somewhere down the line. The five shows, and the hopes for a sequel to The Defenders were all killed off to make way for Disney+ streaming. It's been stated that none of these series will be back for Disney's premiere streaming service, so it's unclear how, when, where or even if Jessica Jones will get to come out and play in the bigger MCU, or if her time in this cinematic universe is finished.

Along with the teaser and date announcement, Netflix and Marvel have released a series of first look images featuring Krysten Ritter's final turn as everyone's favorite drunk P.I. This will be a bittersweet affair, that much is for sure. This first look teaser comes direct from Netflix streaming Youtube channel.
