We have our first official look at Jessica Jones season 3, as Marvel and Netflix have revealed the first poster for the upcoming season. What's more, as was previously revealed, this has been confirmed to be the final season of the series. That means this will be the final season for any of the Marvel Netflix shows and will bring this little corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to a close.

The poster was shared to Marvel and Netflix's various social media outlets. It's pretty simple. We get an overhead view of Jessica's desk, dirty as ever, with a business card for Alias Investigations at its center. It's not terribly telling, as far as any plot details or clues go. But at the very bottom of the poster, the words "the final season" are posted rather boldly. The image was shared with the following caption.

"'Everything changes, and nothing really changes. People die, new people are born, and we exist in between.' The final season of Marvel's Jessica Jones is coming soon to Netflix."

For the time being, Netflix and Marvel have not announced a release date for what will be the final season of Jessica Jones. With the final seasons of Daredevil and The Punisher, it was a pretty quick turnaround from when the advertising first started to the show's actual arrival. So it likely won't be too long. This means we should expect a teaser trailer in the very near future. It also means we could see the show debut sometime within the next month or so, assuming they stick to the recent trend. Fans of the street level characters who have been kicking ass on Netflix will have at least a little more action to look forward to this summer before bidding farewell to the heroes of Hell's Kitchen.

Netflix started this process of giving their Marvel shows the ax last year. Things kicked off with Iron Fist after its sophomore season debuted. Given that the show centered on Danny Rand wasn't exactly the most beloved of the bunch it, at first, seems like this could be an isolated incident. Then Luke Cage was canned. Once Daredevil bit the dust shortly after season 3 hit, it was clear the end was in sight. At that point, the writing was on the wall. Back in February, Netflix went ahead and made it official, canceling The Punisher and Jessica Jones and that was that. Thus, Krysten Ritter's super-powered P.I. will be the one to give this run of shows its swan song.

At present, not much has been officially revealed about Jessica Jones season 3. Hopefully it can provide the closure fans of these shows are looking for. We should be learning quite a bit more in the coming weeks. We'll be sure to keep you posted as further details, such as the official release date, are made available.
