Fresh off her role as The Huntress on The CW Network's Arrow, actress Jessica De Gouw has landed the female lead role on NBC's Dracula. We reported in July that the network handed out a 10-episode order for the series, starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers as the title character.

The story takes place in 1890s London, where Dracula arrives posing as American entrepreneur Allen Grayson, who wants to bring modern science to this Victorian society. The vampire's true motive is to get revenge on those who ruined his life centuries earlier. Jessica De Gouw plays Mina Murray, a medical student engaged to Jonathan Harker, who Dracula falls for, believing she is the reincarnation of his deceased wife.

Cole Haddon wrote the pilot script and will executive produce with Colin Callender, Tony Krantz, Tony Krantz, and Anne Mensah. It isn't known when production will begin on the series.
