Jaime Pressly has taken the lead in TV Land's upcoming comedy Jennifer Falls.
The story centers on Jennifer Doyle (Jaime Pressly), a successful businesswoman whose temper gets her fired from a high-paying job. After losing everything, her and her teenage daughter are forced to move in with her mother. She ends up with a job as a waitress at her brother's bar where she reconnects with friends from her childhood.
The series is an original idea from Matthew Carlson, who is producing the pilot with Michael Hanel and Mindy Schultheis.
TV Land's executive vice president of development and original programming Keith Cox had this to say about the addition.
"It's amazing to have someone like Jaime Pressly on board for Jennifer Falls. We loved this script from the moment we read it, and Jaime just brings the role to life perfectly."
Jaime Pressly is best known for the role of Joy Turner in NBC's My Name Is Earl and had a part of Fox's short lived comedy I Hate My Teenage Daughter.
