J.J. Abrams is having quite a good week, with the news that he will direct Star Wars: Episode VII, and now with a report that two pilots he is executive producing have landed at NBC and Fox.

NBC issued a pilot order for Believe, written by Alfonso Cuarón and Mark Friedman (Home of the Brave). The story centers on a young girl who possesses supernatural powers, which will not be fully developed for another seven years. The pilot also focuses on a mysterious man who escapes from prison, sworn to protect the girl from those who wish to exploit her powers. J.J. Abrams will executive produce along with Alfonso Cuarón, Mark Friedman, and Bad Robot's Bryan Burk.

Fox ordered an untitled cop drama series written by Fringe executive producer J.H. Wyman. The show is set in a futuristic Los Angeles, where all L.A.P.D. cops are partnered with androids who possess human characteristics. J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk will executive produce with J.H. Wyman.
