Marvel has had a tremendous amount of success with bringing their street-level heroes to Netflix. Though, even Marvel isn't immune to mistakes. While fans generally liked Marvel's Iron Fist season 1, there were a great many issues with the show's first season. Namely, the lack of a classic costume on Danny Rand. However, Finn Jones, who plays the lead character on the show, teases that the classic Iron Fist costume could be making an appearance in season 2.

The actor, best known for his role on Game of Thrones when he isn't beating up bad guys in Hell's Kitchen on Netflix, recently appeared at Comicpalooza 2017, and the It's All Connected Podcast was able to grab the audio from The Defenders panel. During the panel, the subject of possibly seeing Danny Rand in the classic costume during Iron Fist season 2 came up and Finn Jones gave us all some hope. Here's what he had to say about it.

"I think moving forward to Season 2, we'll see something like that [the classic costume]. Personally I hope we get the wispy kind of ripples at the back of the mask. That's a super cool effect. I think it would actually be annoying, the logistics of it but I think it would look really cool."

While Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage were all well-rounded hits, scoring well with critics and fans, Iron Fist was something of an anomaly. The show has a measly 17 percent approval rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, but a much better 78 percent audience score. Still, many of those fans would probably tell you that they had some issues with Iron Fist's first season. Some of the fight choreography was a bit less impressive than the other shows, to say the least, there were some pacing issues and other such missteps, but no doubt, the lack of a classic hero costume was a glaring issue. Especially for the Marvel faithful.

Hearing that Danny Rand may be suiting up in a more proper manner for Iron Fist season 2 must be nice to hear, but what about The Defenders? So far, all of the promos have featured the character in street clothes, so it doesn't look like we will be seeing the costume show up until Iron Fist season 2 arrives, whenever that may be. Netflix has yet to officially green light the next season, but we can assume it is going to be confirmed at one point or another.

So far, the other Netflix Marvel heroes have been shown in something resembling their classic get up. Even Luke Cage , if only briefly, managed to put Mike Colter in his classic, somewhat outdated costume from the comics, headband and all. So there's no reason to think we can't see the traditional Iron Fist outfit show up. Maybe if Netflix decides to crossover Iron Fist and Luke Cage and do a Heroes for Hire season we can see the duo in their classic costumes next to one another? One can only hope.
