Netflix is gearing up for next week's premiere of Iron Fist Season 2 with some new character posters and a new training video that teases some improved fighting from the first season. The two character posters include images of Danny Rand and Colleen Wing as they prepare for battle. Season 2 of the series once again stars Finn Jones as Rand, aka Iron Fist, who is shown training in the new promo video that Netflix has just released. One of the biggest complaints about Season 1 was the lack of realistic fighting sequences.

Danny Rand is a martial arts expert in the Iron Fist comic books, so Netflix and Marvel added some extra training to get the fighting sequences up to snuff for Season 2. Black Panther fight coordinator Clayton Barber is featured in the training video explaining what his vision is for the new season and what he wants Finn Jones as Danny Rand to be able to pull off in the series. Jones brought Barber to this year's San Diego Comic-Con in order to hype the new focus on the fight scenes.

Also shown off in the latest Iron Fist Season 2 training video is Clayton Barber stating that he wants the actors to do much of the heavy lifting when it comes to performing their own stunts. Finn Jones appears to be very happy about the fact that Barber is really pushing the actors this time around to get the fight sequences done correctly. Jones faced some pretty intense backlash from the first season because many believed that the fight scenes looked amateurish.

In addition to Finn Jones, the cast of Iron Fist 2 will also include the return of Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, Simone Missick as Misty Knight, Tom Pelphrey as Ward Meachum, Jessica Stroup as Joy Meachum, and Sacha Dhawan as Danny's childhood friend Davos, who is now his nemesis. New additions to the Netflix series include Alice Eve, who will be playing the villainous Typhoid Mary. Not much is clear as to how the Marvel villain with split personalities will be introduced into the series. She could end up as a friend and later turn into a villain, we'll just have to wait and see.

Iron Fist Season 2 will premiere on September 7th with 10 brand-new episodes. The new training video should be enough to get Marvel fans who were on the fence about the series due to the weak fight sequences from Season 1. And now, the wait isn't very long for the rest of the world to see how Finn Jones' training under Clayton Barber has worked out. Jones is certainly excited for fans to see the results of his training sessions. You can check out the training video below, thanks to the Netflix YouTube channel along with the two character posters.
