During tonight's season finale of AMC's The Walking Dead, the network released the first trailer for their upcoming spinoff Fear the Walking Dead. AMC also showcased another new series during the finale, Into the Badlands, which is slated for release sometime this fall. We'll keep you posted as soon as the network announced a series premiere date.

Into the Badlands is a genre-bending martial arts series very loosely based on the classic Chinese tale "Journey to the West." In a land controlled by feudal barons, Into the Badlands tells the story of a ruthless, well-trained warrior named Sunny (Daniel Wu) and a young boy who embark on a journey across a dangerous land to find enlightenment. The series also stars Emily Beecham, Sarah Bolger and Oliver Stark.

AMC has ordered six, one-hour episodes for Into the Badlands, with an expected premiere in the Fall of 2015. The project was created by writers/showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar (Shanghai Noon, Smallville). They'll serve as executive producers along with pilot director David Dobkin, Oscar-nominated producers Stacey Sher and Michael Shamberg, and Stephen Fung and Daniel Wu.
