With the Inhumans premiere date set earlier this week, ABC and Marvel have finally unveiled the first full trailer with new footage from this highly-anticipated series. The footage reveals that this Royal Family of Attilan has become quite divided, with their leader Black Bolt (Anson Mount), whose voice is literally so powerful that a whisper can destroy an entire city, choosing to keep his people hidden away on Atillan. That strategy doesn't sit well with his brother Maximus (Iwan Rheon), who wants to conquer Earth. Before this family is literally torn apart by Black Bolt's voice, an unusual solution presents itself.

Last month, leaked Inhumans footage offered our first look at Lockjaw, which showed this canine and Black Bolt mysteriously teleporting to Earth, although the three-second clip didn't offer any context as to why this happened. We learn in this trailer, courtesy of ABC YouTube, that, after the Royal Family of Inhumans is splintered by Maximus' military coup, he asks Black Bolt if he would use his voice to kill his only brother. When it appears that he actually just may do that, a fearful Maximus orders his soldiers to stop him, but the enormous 2,000-pound canine Lockjaw appears, teleporting Black Bolt and himself to Hawaii.

The trailer also reveals that Maximus, naturally, has taken over the throne of Attilan after his brother escaped to Earth, while showcasing a tiny glimpse of just how powerful Black Bolt's voice is. After changing into some human clothes, Black Bolt apparently gets into some trouble and is chased down by the authorities, leading to a fight in the street, with Black Bolt taking on several cops at once. When one of the cops manages to strike him with a baton, Black Bolt lets out an involuntary grunt, barely audible, which has enough power to fling a cop car down the street. We also get footage of some of the other Inhumans as they make their way to Hawaii, where they are greeted with surprising interactions with the lush world and humanity around them. Now they must find a way to reunite with each other and return to their home before their way of life is destroyed forever.

The cast also includes Serinda Swan as Medusa, Queen of the Inhumans and wife of Black Bolt, his most trusted adviser, a fiercely resilient warrior who has the ability to move and control her hair the way most people use their hands and fingers. Ken Leung is portraying Karnak, Black Bolt's cousin and closest adviser, who possesses an ability to see the fault in all things, people, plans, structures, everything. He's Black Bolt's most ardent supporter and strategist and is often seen as the royal family's planner and philosopher. The cast also includes Eme Ikwuakor as Gorgon, cousin of Black Bolt, member of the Royal family, and leader of Attilan's military, Isabelle Cornish as Crystal, Medusa's sister and the youngest member of the royal family, who has the ability to control the elements, Mike Moh as Triton, Black Bolt's cousin, who has a fish-like ability to live underwater, Sonya Balmores as Auran, Head of the Royal Guards on Attilan and Ellen Woglom as an undisclosed character.
