Rome star Indira Varma is returning to HBO with a role in Season 4 of Game of Thrones.

The actress will play Ellaria Sand, the "sexually adventurous" lover of Prince Oberyn Martell a.k.a. The Red Viper, who we reported last month will be played by Chilean actor Pedro Pascal. Sherlock writer-actor Mark Gatiss also joins the cast in an unspecified role.

After Rome, Indira Varma had roles on Human Target and the U.K. drama Hunted. It isn't known when production will begin on Season 4.

Game of Thrones is created by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, based on the novels by George R.R. Martin. HBO hasn't announced when the Season 4 Premiere will debut yet, so stay tuned for that announcement. You can CLICK HERE to watch the show's entire panel from Comic-Con 2013 last week.
