Amazon Prime's Hanna will stream the first episode after the highly anticipated Super Bowl tonight and they have delivered an awesome trailer ahead of time. The action drama television series is based on the 2011 movie of the same name and stars Esme Creed-Miles, Joel Kinnaman, and Mireille Enos. Amazon Prime is following in Netflix's footsteps by releasing the episode after the big game, which has worked out really well in the past. Additionally, putting a trailer in front of millions of eyeballs doesn't hurt either.

The Hanna TV series doesn't premiere until March, so Amazon Prime is more than likely hoping that the Super Bowl trailer and first episode get potential fans hooked into signing up for their subscription service to watch the whole series. At this time, it's not clear how many episodes will make up the first season of the show, but it is believed that it will be in the 8 to 10 range with each episode becoming available to Amazon Prime subscribers to stream immediately, like a Netflix model. However, that has yet to be confirmed by Amazon.

From the looks of things, the Hanna TV series will follow the same pace of the movie, but it will ultimately go far beyond to expand. According to Amazon Prime, Hanna follows "the journey of an extraordinary young girl, Hanna, as she evades the relentless pursuit of an off-book CIA agent and tries to unearth the truth behind who she is." As for going beyond the source material, that part is not clear at this time. But, the trailer looks excellent and should get more than a few people excited to see where the series goes.

The first episode of the Hanna TV series is titled Forest, but even with a trailer, it's not exactly clear what is going on, which is exactly what a good trailer is supposed to do. Fans who are on the fence about the series should know that David Farr co-wrote the movie and has returned to write this series, so it's coming from the source. Amazon Studios announced that they had had given the production a straight-to-series order back in May of 2017 and then, in February 2018, it was announced that the series will be directed by Sarah Adina Smith.

The Hanna TV series looks intriguing and thankfully, we'll have a whole lot more to go from after the episode premieres after the Super Bowl. After seeing two teasers earlier this year showing a mysterious tease about a heist and a glimpse at the teenage Hanna in action, we now have a little bit better of an understanding about where the mysterious show will take viewers when compared to the 2011 movie. While we wait for the first Hanna episode to drop after the Super Bowl tonight, you can watch the brand-new trailer below, thanks to Amazon Studios.
