Fox has gone all out with their latest trailer for Gotham Season 5. The trailer is nearly 5 minutes long and shows off a ton of new intriguing Bruce Wayne and Jeremiah footage along with more Bane, Harley Quinn, and Catwoman. From the looks of things, Fox is putting a lot of effort into promoting the final season of the fan-favorite show, which will bring all of the villains to Bruce Wayne in what looks like a fitting over-the-top season. There's a lot to take in, meaning repeat viewings might be necessary.

One of the cooler reveals in the Gotham Season 5 trailer is the introduction of ACE Chemicals, which many fans will remember from Tim Burton's Batman from 1989. In the movie, it's the birthplace of the Joker and it looks like the show is paying homage to Burton's take on the story. Bruce Wayne and Jeremiah can be seen fighting on a catwalk and then it flashes to a shot of Wayne looking down into the glowing green vat of acid. Are we going to see Jeremiah in a chemical bath?

Elsewhere in the huge trailer for Gotham Season 5, we are shown Selina Kyle's transition into a more feline-looking Catwoman and more Bane. Shane West looks awesome as the villain with a backdrop of flames surrounding him. Poison Ivy, Riddler, and the Penguin are also featured in the lengthy trailer. Gotham is in chaos, and the footage goes out of its way to show just how bad everything has gotten, which is bound to culminate with something epic. Fans of the show should be pretty excited by everything that is presented.

The Gotham trailer also begins by going backwards to show previous story arcs, which they have been doing quite a bit of lately. It may be a promotional tool to try and gain new viewers who might not be familiar for the show. If someone has never seen Gotham, the Season 5 trailer probably looks insane with so much going on in such a short period of time. Fans who have been with the show since the beginning have to wait until the end to get to the good stuff. Thankfully, it looks like there's going to be a lot of good stuff to look forward to.

Gotham Season 5 will debut Thursday, January 3rd, at 8:00 PM on Fox. For fans who are bummed that this is the final season, the network ordered 2 more episodes, bring the grand total to twelve this time around. And by the looks of the trailer, they probably had to do it to fit everything in. Early buzz on the first episode has been good and confirms that the show is going all out for its final run.
