It's time for a slice of cheesecake as The Golden Girls are back, only this time, they're in puppet form. That Golden Girls Show! A Puppet Parody will consist of a 90-minute live performance (with no intermission) of all four of the classic show's lovable ladies with puppeteers controlling their movements.

The show originally debuted off-Broadway in 2016 and is now touring in different locations in the United States. While directly spoofing The Golden Girls, the live show is a tad more risque, as it reportedly contains strong adult language and themes. A preview video from the show's previous run also provides a great look at what to expect, and you can check that out below.

As seen in the clip, the whole gang is all here, including Dorothy Zbornak, Rose Nylund, Blanche Devereaux, and Sophia Petrillo. It's clear to see that the puppet versions of these ladies do great justice to the TV characters, as they're all great representations. We can expect their personalities to match the way they're portrayed on television as well. According to the show description, fans will recognize aspects of the original series such as "Sophia's get-rich-quick schemes, Rose's tales from St. Olaf, Blanche's insatiable hunt for men and Dorothy's daily struggle to fend off her pesky ex-husband once and for all."

Created by Susan Harris, The Golden Girls first premiered on television in 1985. The now-legendary series followed Bea Arthur, Betty White, Rue McClanahan, and Estelle Getty as four mature women sharing a home in Miami. In addition to being popular with viewers, the show was a critical hit as well, winning multiple Emmy Awards and Golden Globe Awards throughout its run. Ultimately, the show would last for seven seasons with 180 overall episodes before coming to an end. Although it had an epilogue of sorts with the spin-off Golden Palace, there was no matching the charm brought about by the original series.

In recent years, The Golden Girls has been getting a lot of attention from fans keeping the franchise alive. Known for typically developing action figures based on popular horror movie or comic book characters, toy company NECA has made figures for all four members of the primary Golden Girls cast. Departing from Miami, a Golden Girls cruise also set sail earlier this year, offering fans the ultimate experience including events like Dorothy's Bingo and the One Night in St. Olaf Dance.

The Golden Girls Show! A Puppet Parody can be seen at various venues in states like Wisconsin, Texas, Michigan, Indiana, and New Hampshire. You can purchase tickets now by heading over to Ticketmaster.
