The highly anticipated sitcom Girl Meets World, a spin-off of the popular 1990s comedy Boy Meets World, has been picked up to series by The Disney Channel. Production will begin later this summer in Los Angeles, with a 2014 debut planned. This sequel is set several years after Boy Meets World, following Riley (Rowan Blanchard), the young daughter of Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga (Danielle Fishel). Two first look photos have arrived from the set, featuring Rowan Blanchard and Sabrina Carpenter, who plays Riley's best friend Maya. Along with Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel reprising their roles. Cory, who married Topanga during the series finale of Boy Meets World, is now a history teacher who works at Riley's school. William Daniels, who played Mr. Feeny in Boy Meets World, is also returning for at least the pilot episode.
