Over the weekend, we reported that the 1990s sitcom Boy Meets World is getting a TV sequel dubbed Girl Meets World on the Disney Channel. The show will follow the young daughter of Corey (Ben Savage) and Topanga (Danielle Fishel). Today, we have a description of the daughter, named Riley Matthews, via a casting breakdown.

"13 years old, indelible personality, an adorable girl on the cusp of whatever comes next in life, and wanting to rush into it head first. She is fiercely loyal to her friends, and spends most of her time juggling the obstacles that life throws her way... there is no obstacle in this girl's world that can dampen her bright spirit and eternal optimism."

Corey and Topanga also have a 14-year-old son named Elliot, who enjoys "bossing his kid sister around." Corey is also Riley's 7th grade history teacher, which will surely be fertile ground for some teenage drama. There hasn't been any official confirmation that Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel will reprise their roles, but don't be surprised if they sign on in the near future.

The producers are also casting the role of Riley's best friend Maya, described as, "darker and less trusting" than Riley. Maya has never met her real father, so she looks up to Corey as a father figure.

Boy Meets World creator Michael Jacobs wrote the pilot script and will executive produce the new series, with production slated to begin in February 2013.
