Back in October, we reported that Netflix is bringing another beloved show back to life, with a new season of Gilmore Girls, the beloved show that ran for seven seasons on The WB and The CW between 2000 and 2007. The initial report claimed that the show will consist of four 90-minute movies, which will span all four seasons, winter, spring, summer and fall, with the working title rumored to be Gilmore Girls: Seasons. Today we finally have confirmation of the official title, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.

The Netflix Twitter account unveiled the Gilmore Girls Revival title with a new motion poster, while series star Lauren Graham also appeared on Ellen yesterday to reveal the title to her audience, in an episode that will air on Monday. The actress confirmed that the season will be comprised of four 90-minute episodes before unveiling the title. Here's what she had to say, when host Ellen DeGeneres asked her if the show had a title.

"I'm here to tell you the title. I can tell you the title for the first time. It's four 90-minute episodes, and they're winter, spring, summer and fall, and the show is called Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life."

Lauren Graham also revealed that they are almost done shooting, which makes sense since Lauren Graham's co-star Scott Patterson revealed just last week that he had wrapped on the show. It isn't clear when the entire series will wrap, but with the reveal of this new poster and title, it's possible the first trailer could be just around the corner. Netflix still hasn't announced when the show will premiere yet, or if all four episodes will be available at once. Since the episodes are based around the actual seasons of the year, it's possible that the streaming service could release a new movie during winter, spring, summer and fall, but that's just speculation at this point.

The season will bring back your favorite Stars Hollow residents from Gilmore Girls - Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham), Rory Gilmore (Alexis Bledel), Emily Gilmore (Kelly Bishop), Luke Danes (Scott Patterson), Sookie St. James (Melissa McCarthy) and many more - picking up life nine years after the original Gilmore Girls signed off the air. Other stars of the original series such as Yanic Truesdale, Jared Padalecki, Milo Ventimiglia, Matt Czuchry and Liza Weil are also returning, along with special guest stars Sutton Foster and Mae Whitman.

Amy Sherman-Palladino created the event series and will executive produce with her husband Daniel Palladino, both of whom are writing and directing the series. We learned in the first photos to surface from this series that Rory Gilmore is now a teacher in Stars Hollow, and the revival will be set approximately eight years after the series went off the air. Gilmore Girls ran for seven seasons between 2000 and 2007 on The WB and The CW, with its run spanning 153 episodes.
