George Clooney and Grant Heslov's Smokehouse Pictures has entered into a new two-year first-look agreement with Sony Pictures Television.

The writer-producers will develop and produce new comedy and drama programs under the pact, for broadcast, cable and digital platforms. George Clooney and Grant Heslov have primarily been developing feature projects since forming Smokehouse in 2006. Their movies include Leatherheads, The Ides of March and The Monuments Men, all directed by George Clooney, Grant Heslov's directorial debut The Men Who Stare at Goats which starred George Clooney, and other movies such as Best Picture winner Argo and August: Osage County.

Both George Clooney and Grant Heslov have previously produced TV shows such as K Street and Memphis Beat. On the film side, their Smokehouse Productions moved from Warner Bros. to Sony Pictures back in 2009.
