Back in June, HBO programming president Casey Bloys hinted that Game of Thrones Season 8 may not debut until 2019, although that won't be confirmed until the scripts have been written and a production schedule gets confirmed. With fans buckling down for the extended wait for this six-episode final season, an artist named Andy Tarusov has debuted some fun illustrations, that reveal what some of the most iconic Game of Thrones characters would look like, if they were drawn by iconic filmmaker Tim Burton. While these drawings don't shed any light on the final season at all, they sure are fun to look at.

The artwork debuted on Andy Tarusov's Instagram, which features several iconic characters from the hit series. The illustrations below feature Jon Snow (Kit Harington), Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), the Night King (Richard Brake), Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) and Lord Varys (Conleth Hill), Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey), Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) and The Hound (Rory McCann), Melissandre (Carice Van Houten), The Mountain (Hafthor Juliuss Bjornsson) and Joffrey Baratheon (Jack Gleeson), Hodor (Kristian Nairn) and Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead-Wright), Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) and Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish (Aidan Gillen), Missandei (Nathalie Emmanuel) and Grey Worm (Jacob Anderson) and finally Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) and Tormund Giantsbane (Kristofer Hivju).

The illustrations all poke fun at some serious plot points throughout the series, with the Jon Snow drawing showing a sword going all the way through the new King in the North's torso, although he remains unphased, giving everyone a thumbs up symbol. Daenerys Targaryen is seen riding on one of her dragons in her drawing, while the Night King is pushing a stroller with a baby inside. Perhaps this is a reference to the Craster (Robert Pugh) character, who would sacrifice all of the sons produced by his daughters/wives to the White Walkers.

What's interesting about some of these drawings is that some of the pairings seem to be quite old, and don't exactly fit with the current season. For example, the Arya Stark and The Hound drawing would have been applicable in Season 4, before Arya left The Hound for dead and set sail for Westeros, but neither character has seen each other since then. However, both Brienne and The Hound did have a nice little chat in the Season 7 finale, where The Hound made it clear that he holds no ill will against Brienne, or Arya for that matter. Whether or not their paths cross again in the final season remains unclear at this point.

Perhaps the most amusing and intriguing illustration is the final one, which shows Brienne and Tormund, with Tormund presenting a special heart cake for his unrequited lover. Fans have been actively calling for these characters to hook up, but with just six episodes left in Game of Thrones, which will all presumably be focused on the Great War, with the Night King taking down a portion of The Wall at Eastwatch, as Season 7 came to a close with hordes of White Walkers spilling into Westeros. While we wait for more on the final season, take a look at these illustrations below.
