HBO released the first footage of a bunch of their upcoming shows during the Golden Globes. However, it's the Game of Thrones Season 8 sneak peek that has everybody talking. Fans of the hit series have been waiting to see anything from the final season, which debuts in April, and even this extremely brief clip was enough to get everybody exciting for what's to come. Obviously, HBO wasn't going to reveal a big teaser, but what they showed is leaving everybody wanting a lot more.

The video also featured the very first Watchmen series footage, and it looks awesome.

The Game of Thrones Season 8 footage shows Sansa Stark and Daenerys Targaryen meeting, with Sansa stating, "Winterfell is yours, your grace." Their meeting is a big deal and one that fans are more than likely talking about and trying to dissect. This footage comes after we previously saw Jon Snow and Sansa reuniting back in August, but it's a bit longer. The meeting appears to be calm, which seems weird since there's an army of White Walkers on their way with a giant ice dragon. It's possible that Sansa has yet to be filled in on what happened at the Wall at the conclusion of Season 7.

Sansa and Daenerys Targaryen are going to have to work together, but one has to think that there will be some sort of drama between the two at some point. The story for Game of Thrones Season 8 is still very much a secret, so we're not exactly sure what's going to happen, which is adding to the wait for the final season. While we don't know specifically what will happen, we do know that Season 8 has a big skirmish that is reportedly going to put the Battle of the Bastards to shame, which is really saying something.

By the conclusion of Game of Thrones Season 7, it looks like the Night King and his Army of the Dead might be on their way to Winterfell next. This hasn't been officially confirmed, but this could make for the action starting right away. Season 8 is only comprised of 6 episodes, which will all be longer than normal episodes, but it means that the story will have to wrap up rather quickly to tie up any loose ends. Will two dragons be able to take on one ice dragon and an Army of the Dead?

The Watchman series footage was just as brief as the Game of Thrones Season 8 footage, but it's cool to finally see how dark the show will be. There appears to be a reveal of Rorschach, which is huge. Additionally, the footage also shows those intriguing masked police officers that we have been teased with in the past. All in all, the show looks like it's going to be pretty bleak. Hopefully some more footage from the new series drops soon.

In addition to Game of Thrones Season 8 and the Watchman series, HBO teased the upcoming True Detective Season 3, Barry Season 4, Big Little Lies Season 2, and the final season of Veep. The network is about to have a pretty big year, but Game of Thrones is arguably the biggest show that will see the most people tuning into, either through official channels or through illegal downloading and streaming. Someone's going to have to take the most-pirated award back from The Walking Dead, and it will undoubtedly be Game of Thrones. You can watch the brand-new footage for all of the upcoming shows below, thanks to the HBO YouTube channel.
