Game of Thrones season 8 is almost complete. We are now officially at the halfway point with only three more episodes to go before the series comes to a close. After the intense battle of episode 3, fans have no idea what to expect with episode 4, so HBO has gone ahead and released some official images from the upcoming episode to tease and spark some speculation about the short future of the show. There are SPOILERS for Game of Thrones Season 8, episode 3 below, so read ahead at your own risk.
One of the first things that is notable about these Game of Thrones images is there is light. Glorious light. You can see all of the characters without squinting, but there is much less of them since the White Walkers took out nearly everybody in the insane night battle. Thankfully, Arya Stark saved the day and brought down the Night King with a devastating fake out blow. Arya is present in the Season 8, episode 4 images looking like she has been through quite a bit.
Most of the Game of Thrones Season 8, episode 4 images are taken from the mass funeral after the great battle. Things look pretty heavy, which is to be expected after losing nearly everybody, but it is time to prepare for what comes next. Daenerys' fleet is shown, along with another shot of the leaders trying to figure out their next plan of attack. Cersei and Euron are also given an image of their own, looking pretty confident that things are going to go their way, or at least for one of them.
The battle during episode 3 was at times too dark for some Game of Thrones fans, depending on their cable provider, which made it hard to see exactly who lived and who died. Jon Snow's direwolf Ghost was one of the mystery characters who we were unsure of, but the trailer revealed he did survive. A lot of fans are hoping Ghost will see some action in the upcoming final episodes of the season, or at least survive everything when all is said and done. For now, everything is a pretty big mystery with a ton of fan theories floating around.
Game of Thrones is almost finished, but there are already hardcore fans talking about starting over from the beginning after the series comes to a close. While the previous two seasons were met with some criticism, Season 8 seems to be hitting everything fans have been waiting years to see. With that being said, everybody is still on edge after last week's battle and skeptical over the fact that so many main characters lived. Game of Thrones doesn't usually let fan-favorite characters live for too long, so this should all be a pretty interesting and stressful three weeks. You can check out the Game of Thrones Season 8, episode 4 images below, thanks to HBO.
