While Winter has finally arrived in Westeros, it's still summer here on Earth, with a beloved July tradition coming up in just a few weeks, San Diego Comic-Con. Just days after the Season 6 finale aired on HBO, the network confirms that the hit series Game of Thrones will he heading to SDCC. The panel will take place on Friday, July 22 at 2:15 PM ET in the massive Hall H, with It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Rob McElhenney serving as the panel's moderator.

The panelists confirmed to attend include executive producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, director Miguel Sapochnik and cast members (in alphabetical order) John Bradley (Samwell Tarly), Liam Cunningham (Ser Davos Seaworth), Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei), Isaac Hemptstead Wright (Bran Stark), Conleth Hill (Varys), Faye Marsay (The Waif), Kristian Nairn (Hodor), Iwan Rheon (Ramsay Bolton) and Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark). Autograph signing is at 4:15 PM on Friday, July 22 at the Warner Bros. booth (#4545). There will also be another Game of Thrones activity that fans will be able to enjoy all throughout the Con.

There will also be an exhibit entitled The Hall of Faces, which will be available for fans to visit between July 21 and July 24. We don't know any thing about what this Hall of Faces will have in store for the fans, but it will most likely be some sort of recreation of the Hall of Faces at the House of Black and White in Braavos. Arya Stark spent quite a bit of time in the Hall of Faces in Season 6, along with her mentor Jaquen H"gar (Tom Wlaschiha).

It's possible that the show will revive a Comic-Con tradition that fell by the wayside last year, introducing new cast members along with the characters they portray. While we don't know for sure if this will happen or not, it certainly is possible, especially since the show has long surpassed the George R.R. Martin books, and it still isn't known when his sixth and seventh books will be published.

To commemorate the Comic-Con announcement, Game of Thrones has debuted a new motion poster on Facebook, just for Comic-Con, which features the villainous Night King. We'll be sure to keep you posted with more updates as we get closer and closer to the con's arrival next month. Until then, check out the new motion poster below.
