Game of Thrones is arguably one of the most popular shows on TV today, with legions of devoted fans eagerly awaiting the Season 5 premiere, "The Wars to Come" on Sunday, April 12 at 9 PM ET on HBO. Anyone who has watched the show knows it certainly isn't for the faint of heart, and most definitely not for children. But why should the young ones be left out of all the fun? For those who have ever pictured the show as a Saturday morning cartoon, you're in luck, since author George R.R. Martin has debuted a new video with the TBS talk show Conan, entitled Lil Thrones.

The humorous two-minute video still features all of the bloody beheadings, poisonings and other gruesome deaths that fans are used to, but formatted as a cheery animated show, complete with a song-and-dance routine. Beloved characters such as Tyrion (Peter Dinklage), Cersei (Lena Headey), Robb Stark (Richard Madden), King Joffrey (Jack Gleeson), Varys (Conleth Hill), Theon Greyoy (Alfie Allen), Littlefinger (Aidan Gillen), Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) and more are shown in their animated forms, reenacting some of the show's most memorable moments such as the Red Wedding and Joffrey's death.

Take a look at Lil Thrones below, which even features George R.R. Martin at the end, delivering the classic line "Valar Morghulis," which, in Valyrian translates to "all men must die." Of course, it's not exactly the kind of message one would typically see in an animated kids series, but perhaps a show like this could catch on. Would you tune in to see Lil Thrones on Saturday mornings, if such a show existed? Chime in with your thoughts after checking out the video below.
