Hulu has released the first trailer for Future Man season 3. As announced by the streaming service last year, this is set to be the final season of the sci-fi series, which comes from executive producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. With that, one can only hope the show goes out on a high-note. Based on what we're seeing in this first footage, it's going to be a wild and foul-mouthed farewell.

The trailer kicks off with Josh, Tiger and Wolf dealing with the fact that they have screwed up the entire universe with their time traveling shenanigans. They are thrust into a deadly competition game for the world's viewing pleasure, with Seth Rogen serving as the announcer for the twisted tournament. The trio are the most wanted fugitives of the future, but since they hav a time travel device, they're able to hop around the timeline quite a bit, making them difficult to track down. There is lots of humorous action, tinkering with history and even Gandhi throwing a pretty convincing punch. It's a lot to process. To ice the cake, the whole thing is set to the tune of Nothin' But a Good Time by Poison.

In addition to the trailer release, it's been confirmed that Future Man season 3 will debut on April 3. The show's first season debuted on Hulu in November 2017. Season 2 followed in January 2019. The first two seasons consisted of 13 episodes each. Season 3 will be a bit shorter with the streaming service ordering eight episodes. The series cast includes Josh Hutcherson, Eliza Coupe, Derek Wilson, Ed Begley Jr. and Glenne Headly. Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Matt Tolmach, Kyle Hunter, Ariel Shaffir and Ben Karlin serve as executive producers.

Original Hulu series Future Man centers on a former janitor by day and world-ranked gamer by night who is unwittingly tasked with preventing the extinction of humanity following a visit from mysterious people from the future who declare him the key to stopping an imminent invasion from a super-race. Season 3 centers on Josh, Tiger and Wolf who have become fugitives after being convicted of time crimes. Facing death by entertainment, they're on the run through time, trying desperately to avoid being captured. All the while, they must try and clear their names and fix the big mess of history they've made along the way.

As the streaming wars have heated up, it's been increasingly difficult for some content to cut through, regardless of the perceived quality. Future Man season 2 had a tough time cutting through the noise, but it scored a perfect 100 percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. While the show may be ending its run a bit shorter than some may have hoped, at least it will be given a definitive conclusion. Future Man season drops this April on Hulu.
