After the end of Fuller House on Netflix, will we ever see the Tanner family back on the small screen again? We just might, as star Jodie Sweetin is open to the idea of playing an older Stephanie Tanner in another sequel series several years from now. In the original series, Full House, Sweetin played Stephanie as a child. She reprise the role as one of the series leads when Fuller House was developed at Netflix.

On The Morning Show in Australia, Sweetin took part in an interview where she addressed her career along with Full and Fuller House. She was asked about the possibility of revisiting the role someday in the future, or if the tale of the Tanners has really come to a close. Citing how she never imagined how Fuller House would have happened, Sweetin says she can't dismiss the idea of doing another sequel series down the line, perhaps in the vein of something like Full House meets The Golden Girls.

"I don't know, I guess never say never. If you would have asked me twenty years ago if I would be coming back someday to play Stephanie Tanner as an adult I would have been like, I don't think that is going to happen. Who knows, in another 10, 15, 20 years we do Fullest House and I get to finally portray my Bea Arthur wannabe as one of The Golden Girls."

Along with Jodie Sweetin as Stephanie, the lead cast of Fuller House also included Candace Cameron Bure as D.J. Tanner-Fuller and Andrea Barber as Kimmy Gibbler, all reprising their roles from Full House. Other original stars, who popped up in a recurring capacity, included Bob Saget as Danny Tanner, John Stamos as Uncle Jesse, Dave Coulier as Uncle Joey, Lori Loughlin as Rebecca Katsopolis, and Scott Weinger as Steve. Several new cast members were brought in to help lead the cast as a way to modernize Fuller House, including Michael Campion, Elias Harger, Soni Nicole Bringas, Juan Pablo Di Pace.

One original character who didn't appear in Fuller House was the youngest of the Tanner children, Michelle Tanner. She was, of course, played by both Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen sharing the role as child stars at the time. The two have since moved on from acting, and while there were hopes from the Fuller House team that one of the two would be able to appear for a special cameo, neither Olsen twin became involved. Michelle was mentioned in passing a couple of times during the series.

Full House has gotten a lot of flak as a "cheesy" sitcom over the years, but it was one of television's hottest shows during its run. It aired for eight seasons before it was canceled, and it didn't really have a proper ending, concluding somewhat abruptly. Doing Fuller House gave the Tanners another chance to better wrap up their story, should this be the final series to feature the family, as they all knew the end was coming with the fifth and final season of Fuller House on Netflix. This news comes to us from The Morning Show.
