Things get out of hand and awkward pretty quickly in Netflix's Friends from College Season 2 trailer. The show was widely panned by critics during its first season, but it has a loyal fan base who were excited when the streaming platform revealed that they had green lit a Season 2 for the comedy series. Even by watching the brief trailer, it appears that the show has stepped up its game and is going for a different approach this time around.

The second season of hit Netflix comedy Friends From College follows six Harvard alums in their 40s living in New York City and the complicated relationships they have with each other. It's been a year since Ethan and Sam's affair was exposed to the four other friends - including Lisa, Ethan's wife - and the friend group is still fractured. No one has heard from Lisa, Ethan has been living a repentant year of writing a YA novel, and Sam has been trying to repair her marriage with her husband Jon. In other words, there's some pretty uncomfortable moments right off the bat in the trailer.

However, with Max's wedding coming up, the friends won't be able to avoid each other much longer. Between the engagement party, bachelor party, and wedding, the six will have to overcome the destruction in their past and figure out how to function as a friend group again. The big question remains as to if they'll all able to move forward or if they will all regress back to their old destructive patterns. The Friends From College Season 2 trailer offers a glimpse of the things to come, but it is pretty uncomfortable to watch, even during what looks like a genuinely happy scene.

Friends From College Season 2 is already proving to be a lot more uncomfortable than the first season, which might be its strong suit in separating it from previous episodes. If you were a fan of Season 1, there's a good chance that you'll enjoy the new trailer, which shows off the all-star cast in great comedic shape, turning those uncomfortable feelings into uncomfortable comedy. Fred Savage and Keegan-Michael Key are shown off the most in the trailer, providing a great chemistry together.

Friends From College hails from married couple creators Nicholas Stoller and Francesca Delbanco and is based off of their real-life friends from college. The streaming comedy stars Keegan-Michael Key (Ethan), Cobie Smulders (Lisa), Annie Parisse (Sam), Nat Faxon (Nick), Fred Savage (Max), and Jae Suh Park (Marianne). Billy Eichner (Felix) and Sarah Chalke (Merrill) are all set to guest star. Season 2, like the first season, will consist of 8 episodes that are each 30 minutes long. Friends From College premieres January 11th, exclusively on Netflix and you can watch the uncomfortable and awkward trailer below, thanks to the Netflix streaming YouTube channel.
