Fox has pulled the plug on producer J.J. Abrams' futuristic cop drama Almost Human.

The series is set 35 years in the future, when police officers are partnered with human-like androids. The year is 2048. It centers Detective John Kennex (Karl Urban), who is a survivor of a brutal attack on the police department. He wakes up after a 17-month coma only to find out that his partner is dead and he has lost a leg.

Almost Human had a strong launch with 9.2 million viewers and a 3.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic. The march finale drew 5.63 million viewers with a 1.5 rating. The show ended after only 13-episode with season two not being planned.
