Quibi has released the first official trailer for Funny or Die's upcoming comedy series Flipped. The new show stars Saturday Night Live alum Will Forte alongside It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia actress Kaitlin Olson. Jeffrey Katzenberg and Meg Whitman's Quibi streaming service is putting an aim on shorter content meant for mobile devices. The new service is scheduled to launch on April 6th, and it is believed that Flipped will debut on that day. Quibi will feature shows that run for two to four hours in length, which are broken down into parts that will not exceed 10 minutes.

Flipped centers on Jann (Will Forte) and Cricket Melfi (Kaitlin Olson), a chronically underemployed couple who call themselves home renovation experts. They have a vision that nobody else can see in them, at least according to them. Confident that they are destined to be the next great home design celebrities, like Chip and Joanna Gaines or Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent, the two go about making their dream come true by entering a home design contest.

Things start to get a bit weird for Jann and Cricket when they discover a stash of money in a home they're renovating, which does not belong to them. For the Melfi family, this all seems like a dream come true. However, things start to get complicated when the two get kidnapped by members of a drug cartel. As it turns out, the money they found in the house belongs to this drug cartel and in order to survive, the couple must renovate their way out of the half a million dollars they now owe to the mafia. From the looks of things, they are going to be doing a lot of renovating in Flipped.

Flipped is written and created by Funny or Die's Steve Mallory and Damon Jones. The series is directed by Ryan Case, who has worked on comedy hits like Modern Family, Brooklyn 99, and Superstore. In addition to Will Forte and Kaitlin Olson, the comedy also stars Eva Longoria, Andy Garcia, and Arturo Castro. Quibi, who have already have over $1 billion invested, will make for an interesting product in the market place. Will the ten-minute sitcom be something that takes off?

Quibi also has their remake of The Fugitive series on the way, which stars Kiefer Sutherland. They have the star power, but it remains to be seen if the idea will take off of only having full seasons that are two to four hours long. In the days of binge watching, ten minutes is nothing and two hours is about the length of a movie. Regardless, Jeffrey Katzenberg and Meg Whitman, along with their investors, seems to be very confident that their short attention span programming will be able to go the distance. Flipped will premiere in April, exclusively on the Quibi streaming platform. You can watch the trailer for the new series above, thanks to the Quibi YouTube channel.
