The CW will bring their successful second season of The Flash to a close with the highly-anticipated finale The Race of His Life, airing tomorrow night, Tuesday, May 24 at 8 PM ET. Last week, we showed you new photos from the season finale, but today, as anticipation keeps building, we have a new extended trailer, which teases Barry Allen's (Grant Gustin) final confrontation with Zoom, a.k.a. Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears). Both of these speedsters will square off in a race to determine, once and for all, who the Fastest Man Alive truly is.

This footage from The CW YouTube page also reveals Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) has discovered that Barry Allen actually is The Flash, after the heartbreaking aftermath of last week's episode, Invincible. Last Tuesday's episode delivered a shocking blow to Barry, as Zoom killed Barry's father (John Wesley Shipp), with Barry vowing to get his vengeance. This trailer also shows that Zoom wants to race Barry, so he can use the energy emitted from Barry during this race to power up a device that could destroy every other planet in the multi-verse.

The Flash stars Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon, Tom Cavanagh as Dr. Harrison Wells and Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West. This season also sees the addition of newcomers Teddy Sears as Jay Garrick/Zoom, Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West and Tony Todd as the voice of Zoom. The CW has already renewed The Flash for Season 3, along with its fellow DC Comics shows Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow.

Earlier this month, it was confirmed that Supergirl is shifting to The CW for its second season, after debuting on CBS. Back in March, Grant Gustin guest starred in an unprecedented crossover episode of Supergirl. With Kara Zor-El moving to The CW, the network has since teased that she will unite with The Flash, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow in a massive crossover event airing sometime in the 2016-2017 season. Hopefully we'll find out more details about this highly-anticipated episode throughout the summer off-season.

We don't know for sure if Zoom will be entirely defeated in the season finale, or if there are plans to bring this character back for Season 3. Harrison Wells/Reverse Flash served as the primary villain in the first season, but he was brought back, to an extent, in Season 2, with the Earth-2 version of this character coming in to serve as a mentor to Barry. Take a look at this trailer below, as the countdown towards the season finale continues.
