AMC has announced that Fear the Walking Dead Season Four will premiere Sunday, April 15 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT. Subsequent episodes will air at 9:00pm ET/PT beginning April 22. This comes just days after the network released the first official photos of Lennie James' Morgan Jones, who was announced as the Fear the Walking Dead crossover character last year. While he will be featured in the back half of The Walking Dead Season 8, he will transition to Fear the Walking Dead in Season 4.

In season four of Fear the Walking Dead, we will see the world of Madison Clark (Kim Dickens) and her family through new eyes, the eyes of Morgan Jones (Lennie James), joining the story from the world of The Walking Dead. The characters' immediate past mixes with an uncertain present of struggle and discovery as they meet new friends, foes and threats. They fight for each other, against each other and against a legion of the dead to somehow build an existence against the crushing pressure of lives coming apart. There will be darkness and light; terror and grace; the heroic, mercenary, and craven, all crashing together towards a new reality for Fear the Walking Dead.

AMC also recently made a number of announcements related to The Walking Dead, the highest-rated cable series in history and the #1 show on television for the last six seasons and counting. The series is being renewed for a ninth season, to premiere in late 2018; current showrunner Scott M. Gimple is being elevated to Chief Content Officer, overseeing the entire Dead television universe, including The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead, and potential brand extensions on a variety of platforms; and Angela Kang, who has been a writer on the show since 2011 and co-executive producer since 2013, is being promoted by Gimple to executive producer and showrunner of The Walking Dead, starting with season nine.

Produced by AMC Studios, The Walking Dead remains the #1 show on television among adults 18-49. Fear the Walking Dead is the #1 cable premiere of all-time and is currently in production on its fourth season, to premiere early this year with a new creative team, several new cast members and - for the first time - Lennie James (Morgan Jones) as a crossover character between the two series. The Walking Dead content is featured on AMC's AMC Premiere commercial-free upgrade option and a recently launched virtual reality app, to name just a few. In partnership with Next Games, AMC has launched a successful mobile game "The Walking Dead: No Man's Land" and a new location-based augmented reality game, "The Walking Dead: Our World" set to launch globally early this year.

Fear the Walking Dead is executive produced by Scott M. Gimple, showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg, as well as Robert Kirkman, David Alpert, Gale Anne Hurd and Greg Nicotero. Fear the Walking Dead is also adding a number of new cast members this season, including Garrett Dillahunt, Jenna Elfman and Maggie Grace, although no details about their characters have been revealed. Hopefully we'll have more details on Season 4 from AMC soon.
