AMC's original series Fear the Walking Dead, will return for the second half of season three with two back-to-back episodes on Sunday, September 10th beginning at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT, as announced during last night's Talking Dead. The second half will consist of eight episodes. The #2 drama on cable, and #4 cable series overall, Fear the Walking Dead is executive produced by Dave Erickson, Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero and David Alpert. and produced by AMC Studios.

In the second half of Fear The Walking Dead Season 3, the Clarks and Ottos have secured an uneasy truce with the Nation. Former enemies must find a way to survive together. Tension mounts at Broke Jaw Ranch as their militia is decimated, resources are scarce and the Dead are encroaching. The Gonzalez Dam, a source of life, is a larger prize to the south. Strand has hit rock bottom and needs a partner to harness the world's only currency if he is going to be resurrected. Meanwhile, Daniel has become el soldado again and bides his time in service to Lola and the dam, but hasn't given up the ghost of Ofelia.

When Fear the Walking Dead kicked off its third season last month on AMC, it became the #2 drama on cable TV and #3 series on cable overall in 2017 behind only The Walking Dead and Talking Dead. The Fear the Walking Dead season three premiere delivered 4.7 million total viewers, including 2.7 million adults 25-54 and 2.4 million adults 18-49 in Nielsen live+3 ratings. AMC has already renewed Fear the Walking Dead for Season 4, with The Walking Dead showrunner Scott M. Gimple coming aboard as an executive producer.

The hit series stars stars Kim Dickens as Madison, Frank Dillane as Nick, Alycia Debnam-Carey as Alicia, Mercedes Mason as Ofelia, Colman Domingo as Strand and Danay Garcia as Luciana. Joining the cast as series regulars for season three are Dayton Callie (Sons of Anarchy, Deadwood), Daniel Sharman (The Originals, Teen Wolf) and Sam Underwood (The Following), who will play the Otto family, founders of a survivalist organization who prepared for the fall of democracy, but didn't anticipate the rise of the dead, as well as Lisandra Tena (Chicago P.D.) as Lola Guerrero. The back half of this season will also mark the return of a long-missing character.

Executive producer Dave Erickson confirmed in May that Ruben Blades will return as Daniel Salazar, a character who most thought was dead. Daniel Salazar was last seen in the seventh episode of Season 2, where he set an entire Mexican compound on fire and was seemingly killed in the blaze. It remains to be seen when exactly this reunion will take place on Fear the Walking Dead, whether it will happen in the midseason premiere or perhaps in the season finale setting up his return in Season 4. Hopefully we'll find out more about this hit series as the countdown towards its return continues.
