When AMC debuted their spinoff Fear the Walking Dead, the show was set in El Sereno, Califonria, on the outskirts of Los Angeles, clear on the other side of the survivors of the flagship series The Walking Dead. It didn't take long for the City of Angels to plunge into chaos, and by the end of the first season, the main characters were already plotting an escape to the high seas, in a huge yacht. Today, AMC debuted a new video, which takes fans behind-the-scenes at the show's new home for Season 2, Baja Studios in Mexico, along with new photos.

When the first season of Fear the Walking Dead came to an end, Travis (Cliff Curtis), Madison (Kim Dickens), Alicia (Alycia Debnam Carey), Nick (Frank Dillane) and Daniel (Rubén Blades) were getting ready to escape Los Angeles on Strand's (Colman Domingo) massive yacht. This new featurette shows how the production has split the yacht into several different areas, with Cliff Curtis claiming it's the "coolest" set he's ever been on. We also hear from Kim Dickens, Rubén Blades, Mercedes Masöhn, Lorenzo James Henrie, Colman Domingo and several other members of the production team.

In the previously released trailers, we've seen the main characters traveling by land and sea, both of which appear to be equally dangerous. This season will also introduce new cast members Dougray Scott, Daniel Zovatto, Arturo del Puerto and Veronica Diaz, although we don't see any of these new characters in the featurette. Fear the Walking Dead will air its second season of 15 episodes in two parts, beginning with the first of seven episodes on Sunday, April 10th at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. The remaining eight episodes will air later in 2016. The series, which delivered the highest-rated first season of any series in cable history among total viewers and all key demos in live+3 ratings, is executive produced by showrunner Dave Erickson, Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero and David Alpert.

The series began production on season two last month in the Baja peninsula in Mexico at Baja Studios, home to some of the greatest ocean-set films in recent years. Season one left off with Madison, Travis and their extended family taking temporary shelter in Strand's gated estate overlooking the Pacific Ocean. As civil unrest continues to grow and the dead take over Los Angeles, Strand prepares to escape to "Abigail," his large yacht moored offshore. For those who haven't caught up with the series yet, the complete first season of Fear the Walking Dead will be available to stream exclusively on Hulu. Hulu subscribers can catch up on all episodes of the series through Hulu's No Commercials and Limited Commercials plans ahead of the second season premiere on AMC.

With these characters hitting the sea this season on Fear the Walking Dead, we don't know for sure where exactly they'll end up. Some have thought that it could be possible for these characters to wind up on the East Coast, potentially leading to a crossover with The Walking Dead. However, that notion was recently shot down by showrunner Dave Erickson, since the chronology of both shows are too far apart. While we wait for more details on Fear the Walking Dead, check out this new featurette below, to get ready for the Season 2 premiere on Sunday, April 10.
