The cast of Fear the Walking Dead season 4 continues to grow. Maggie Grace, best known for her roles on ABC's Lost and in the Taken franchise as Liam Neeson's daughter, has been cast as a series regular in the upcoming season of The Walking Dead spin-off. Details on her role have not yet been revealed, but the report of her casting says that they will be revealed at a later date.

Fear The Walking Dead, by the account of many fans, found its footing in season 3. The first couple of seasons struggled a bit to live up to the legacy of The Walking Dead, but the spin-off has found its identity. Heading into Fear The Walking Dead season 4, there are plenty of reasons for fans to be excited. The growing cast is promising and Maggie Grace is yet another intriguing addition. Since AMC hasn't yet provided a premiere date for Fear The Walking Dead season 4, it may be a while before we learn exactly how the 34-year-old actress will fit into the show's ensemble.

The cast of Fear The Walking Dead season 4 includes returning stars Kim Dickens, Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Colman Domingo and Danay Garcia. In addition to Maggie Grace, the show has also added Garret Dillahunt (Deadwood) and Jenna Elfman (Dharma and Greg) as series regulars. Though, the most interesting and important addition to the new season is Lennie James as Morgan Jones, who will be the crossover character from The Walking Dead to Fear The Walking Dead. All things considered, this could be the most exciting season of anything Walking Dead related in a long time.

For a whole, it seems liked The Walking Dead and Fear The Walking Dead weren't ever going to crossover, but AMC recently announced that they are finally going to make that happen. Morgan's whereabouts after The Walking Dead season 1 are largely a mystery and, since Fear The Walking Dead takes place during the gap in his history, he makes sense for a crossover character. Is it possible that Maggie Grace's new character will be tied to Morgan somehow? It's possible, but that's purely speculative right now. In any case, there's a lot to look forward to on the next season of Fear The Walking Dead.

Fear the Walking Dead is executive produced by showrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero David Alpert and The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman. Deadline unfortunately didn't provide any sort of timeline as to when we may be able to find out more about Maggie Grace's role on Fear The Walking Dead. Will she be good? Evil? Something in between? We'll be sure to keep you posted as more details on her role and other details on the upcoming season of Fear The Walking Dead are made available.
