How's this for inspired casting? Just one week after Bruce Campbell told us his dream role was playing Abraham Lincoln, the iconic cult actor known best as Ash in The Evil Dead series has been cast as another equally important president. Yes, the man will be taking on the role of Hollywood icon-turned-Republican figurehead Ronald Reagan in Fargo Season 2.

No stranger to television, Bruce Campbell starred for 7 seasons on USA's hit action series Burn Notice. And he will next be seen reprising his role as Ashley in the upcoming Starz series Ash Vs. Evil Dead. This is also not his first brush with Fargo. The actor had an unbilled cameo in the Coen Brothers' big screen Fargo, where he is seen on a television in the kidnappers' cabin.

Fargo Season 2 is a prequel to last year's well-received FX anthology series Fargo. This time out, the action takes place in the late 1970s and stars Patrick Wilson as a young version of Keith Carradine's Lou Solverson. The story will be set against the 'cultural transformation that was going on at the time' as well as Ronald Reagan's first presidential campaign. FX CEO John Landgraf explained back in January:

"He's on his first campaign [and he] makes a swing through Fargo. Some of the characters have some interactions with him. And some of his movies are also a part of the show."

It isn't known yet if we'll get to see Bruce Campbell reenacting some of Ronald Reagan's better known movies. Also appearing on this upcoming season is Jeffrey Donovan, who was Bruce Campbell's co-star on Burn Notice for all 7 seasons. It isn't known if the two will have any scenes together.
