After a few years of delays, we reported in January that Warner Bros. had given the green light for the Entourage movie, with series creator Doug Ellin set to direct from his own script. Production was scheduled to begin in May, but shooting hasn't started yet, since several cast members are still holding out for more money.

Principal photography has been put on hold for the time being, while the producers try to hammer out deals for the cast. Here's what an unidentified insider had to say about the production.

"They wanted to start filming early this summer, but the cast has been on hold. Jeremy (Piven) finally signed his contract two weeks ago. His deal closed Aug. 29. But there are other members of the cast, including Adrian Grenier and Jerry Ferrara, who are still holding out."

Back in January, executive producer Mark Wahlberg, whose life the original HBO series is loosely based on, revealed that writer-director Doug Ellin took a long time to get the script just right.

"So it just took a long time. It took a long time to get it written, get it right, and we got a fantastic script. Warner Bros. is very excited about it. All the guys are excited. Getting everybody in the same place at the same time has been tough as well."

The plan was to start shooting this May, in hopes of getting the movie in theaters by April or May of 2014. With at least two key cast members holding up the works, it isn't known when shooting may begin.

Entourage ran for seven seasons on HBO between 2004 and 2011. The series starred Adrian Grenier as Hollywood actor Vincent Chase, Jeremy Piven as his agent Ari Gold, Jerry Ferrara as Turtle, Kevin Connolly as Eric Murphy and Kevin Dillon as Vincent's brother Johnny "Drama" Chase.
