Tyler Hoechlin has shared our first look at the new Lois Lane. Production recently wrapped on this year's Arrowverse crossover event, Elseworlds, which increasingly appears as though it's going to be more or less required viewing for DC fans. Especially those who are at all wrapped up in what The CW has to offer. To that point, this latest photo not only shows off Superman and Lois Lane together, but it brings an iconic location into the mix.

The image features Tyler Hoechlin's Superman standing next to Elizabeth Tulloch, who makes her debut as the Arrowverse version of Lois Lane during the Elseworlds event. Not only do they both look classically heroic in the shot, but they happen to be posing in front of the Fortress of Solitude, which is a crucial location when it comes to DC, and specifically Superman, lore. Hoechlin had this to say in his caption provided with the photo.

"First look! Superman and his better half, Miss Lois Lane. Catch them on the crossover event this December!"

In addition to Lois Lane, this event is going to serve as the entry point for Batwoman, who is to be played by Ruby Rose. The idea is that this will serve as a jumping off point for a Batwoman TV series. Plus, it was recently revealed that John Wesley Shipp will suit back up as The Flash. There were also rumors floating around recently that The CW may be toying with a Superman TV series, and introducing Lois Lane into the equation could help tee that up. Tyler Hoechlin, to further fuel the excitement, previously revealed that the black Superman suit will be part of Elseworlds, which will help make up for the fact that it wound up not showing up in Justice League.

The Flash, Supergirl and Arrow are all participating in this year's crossover event, with the Legends of Tomorrow sitting this one out. Stephen Amell has been providing updates along the way and recently revealed that filming has wrapped on Elseworlds. Taking to Twitter, Amell, while admitting it was a tiring process, promised that this is maybe going to be the best crossover event yet.

"This was the crossover I've always wanted & it wouldn't have been possible without Melissa & Grant. As we each remarked on Thursday, staring at a drone ripping across downtown Chicago, we're glad that it's over, but holy shit was it fun."

Elseworlds kicks off on The CW with The Flash on Sunday, December 9, followed by Arrow on Monday, December 10, concluding with Supergirl on Tuesday, December 11. Hopefully, we will be getting a trailer for the event sooner rather than later, now that production is wrapped. We'll be sure to keep you up to date on that front.
