Disney has announced that its DuckTales reboot will end with a 90-minute series finale set to air next month. Called "The Last Adventure!," the extended episode will follow the Duck Family as they uncover earth-shattering secrets in a final standoff with the Fiendish Organization for World Larceny (F.O.W.L.). The finale has been set to arrive on March 15 with the final new episodes airing every Monday in the meantime.

DuckTales is going out with a bang, bringing in many returning guest voices to help close out the animated reboot. This includes Lin-Manuel Miranda, Giancarlo Esposito, Julie Bowen, Jaime Camil, Jameela Jamil, Catherine Tate, Stephanie Beatriz, Paul F. Tompkins, Jim Rash, and Margo Martindale. Also returning are Jason Mantzoukas, John Hodgman, Retta, Kimiko Glenn, Libe Barer, Jaleel White, Amy Sedaris, and Noël Wells and Riki Lindhome as sisters June and May.

"It has been an absolute honor to adventure along with the Duck Family for three seasons of derring-do bad and good luck tales," said executive producer Matt Youngerb and co-executive producer Francisco Angones in a statement. "Ever since Carl Barks took a silly squawking duck from a funny animal cartoon and sent him looking for pirate gold, these characters have been part of a constantly evolving legacy of invention and reinvention."

The producers added: "We set out to honor all those things that we've loved about DuckTales since we were kids and introduce new parts of that legacy for families around the globe. Along the way, our stellar crew, unbelievable cast and endlessly supportive fans have become a bit of a family ourselves. And it has been a great joy to solve mysteries and rewrite history alongside them."

DuckTales is a reboot of the original 1987 cartoon series of the same name from the 1980s. The animated series follows the Duck Family, with Donald Duck and his nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie moving into McDuck Manor with Donald's estranged uncle Scrooge McDuck along with his housekeeper Mrs. Beakley and her granddaughter, Webby Vanderquack. Also back is Scrooge's chauffeur and pilot, Launchpad McQuack.

First premiering in 2017, it has turned out to be a three-season run for the new DuckTales. It was announced in December that the third season would also serve as the final for the animated reboot. The news was met with a lot of disappointment from fans, as DuckTales has generally garnered positive reviews from critics and audiences alike. It's still possible that we'll see more of the DuckTales universe some day as a Darkwing Duck reboot is also said to be in the works at Disney+.

The DuckTales series finale will air on March 15 on Disney XD and DisneyNOW at 7 p.m. ET/PT. Until then, new episodes of DuckTales will debut every Monday starting Feb. 22 leading up to the series finale. Ahead of the end, cast members David Tennant, Danny Pudi, Ben Schwartz, Bobby Moynihan, Kate Micucci, Beck Bennett, Toks Olagundoye, and Paget Brewster also appeared in a video for a dramatic reading of the show's theme song, which you can check out below.
