What to do? Just grab onto some DuckTales! San Diego Comic-Con is in full swing right now and Disney XD brought a major dose of nostalgia to the event this weekend. The highly-anticipated reboot of DuckTales is coming later this year and they decided to bring a brand new clip from the series, which is everything you would want it to be and then some. Not only that, but it has been confirmed that Darkwing Duck is joining the DuckTales revival. Things are about to get dangerous.

The announcement of Darkwing Duck boarding the DuckTales reboot was announced during a panel at San Diego Comic-Con, as reported by Comic Book Resources. People were already going nuts for this reboot, but this just piled onto the excitement. This is a huge deal because Darkwing Duck has never actually existed in the DuckTales universe previously. Can you imagine the possibilities that exist with Launchpad McQuack sharing the screen with Darkwing Duck? This is particularly interesting because just last year, creator Tad Stones revealed that the two exist in different universes.

"Credit my comic book sensibilities. DW takes place in 'A' DuckTales universe but not the one you saw on TV. It's an alternate universe with a different Launchpad like a DC 'Elseworlds' story. And thank you for watching."

Whatever the reasoning, this is good news for the DuckTales reboot, which already has a lot going for it. In the new clip, we get to see the characters all interacting with one another on a submarine journey to the lost city of Atlantis. It has humor, action and some genuine heart. If this clip is a good representation of what the new Disney XD series is going to be, your sacred childhood memories are in very good shape. Since Disney XD regularly kills it in the animation department, that isn't a huge surprise. But still. DuckTales means a lot to people.

The new DuckTales has a stellar cast that includes Danny Pudi as Huey, Ben Schwartz as Dewey, Bobby Moynihan as Louie, Kate Micucci as Webby Vanderquack, Beck Bennett as Launchpad McQuack, Toks Olagundoye as Mrs. Beakley, Tony Anselmo as Donald Duck and former Doctor Who star David Tennant as Scrooge McDuck. The show will also feature amazing guest stars, such as Lin-Manuel Miranda as Gizmoduck, Allison Janney as Goldie O'Gilt, Margo Martindale as Ma Beagle and Paul F. Tompkins as Gladstone Gander, among others. Huey, Dewey and Louie are in very good hands.

DuckTales is set to kick off with a one-hour TV movie on August 12. Once the movie premieres, it is going to run on Disney XD for 24-hours straight ahead of the actual series premiere in September.
