Doctor Who fans will be reunited with the Time Lord (Matt Smith) and his new companion Clara (Jenna-Louise Coleman) earlier than originally anticipated, with the second half of Season 7 debuting Saturday, March 30. The new batch of episodes were previously believed to premiere sometime in April.

Last month's Christmas special "The Snowmen" introduced viewers to Clara, after bidding farewell to Amy Pond (Karen Gillan) and Arthur Pond (Arthur Darvill). 2013 marks the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who, with many surprises in store for fans later this year.

The last eight episodes of Season 7 will feature episodes written by head writer Stephen Moffatt, Neil Cross (Luther), and author Neil Gaiman, who previously wrote the Season 6 episode "The Doctor's Wife".
