Netflix has released the new trailer and poster for Part 2 of Disjointed Season 1, with the final 10 episodes of the 20-episode first season debuting January 12 on the streaming service. A 20-episode order for this new Netflix original series was issued back in July, with the first 10 episodes debuting on August 25. Now the remainder of this first season will debut in just 10 short days. This trailer is set to the 1963 classic song "Sunshine, Lollipops and Rainbows" by Leslie Gore, which reveals this back half of the season will be just as bizarre as the front half.

From Emmy-winning creators Chuck Lorre and David Javerbaum, Disjointed is a modern twist on the American Dream, a story of the highs, the lows, and half-baked drama of a family-run marijuana dispensary. The irreverent workplace comedy stars Academy Award winner Kathy Bates as Ruth, a lifelong advocate for legalization whose dreams are finally realized when she becomes the owner of a cannabis dispensary in LA. Ruth's cannabis cohorts include three budtenders, her twenty-something son and deeply troubled security guard.

In Part 2 of the series, Ruth and her squad are back in business (after being shut down by the DEA) and are celebrating this next chapter in their lives as they navigate through new milestones and misadventures at Ruth's Alternative Caring. Disjointed also stars Chris Redd, Nicole Sullivan, Tone Bell, Betsy Sodaro, Elizabeth Alderfer, Dougie Baldwin, Elizabeth Ho and Aaron Moten. The new comedy hails from blockbuster executive producer Chuck Lorre (The Big Bang Theory, Mom, Mike & Molly, Two and a Half Men), starring Academy Award and Emmy winner Kathy Bates (Misery, American Horror Story), via Warner Bros. Television

The trailer was released just one day after recreational marijuana was made legal in the state of California, although it remains unclear if that real-life new law that just went into affect will be written into the series in any way, shape or form. The trailer shows that this series isn't your typical Netflix comedy series, with some segments featuring several different styles of animation, claymation and more. The end of the trailer features Ruth and her whole crew singing a little jingle about their dispensary, seemingly after inhaling some helium.

This show will be among Netflix's first original series offerings this year, behind End of the F***ing World debuting on January 5, along with the anime series DEVILMAN crybaby, with Season 4 of Grace and Frankie debuting January 19, Season 2 of One Day at a Time on January 26 and the new sci-fi series Altered Carbon on February 2. That doesn't count several original movies like Step Sisters (January 19) and A Futile and Stupid Gesture on January 26.
