Netflix released the key art for the upcoming original series Marvel's The Defenders. The show's social pages on Facebook and Twitter also debuted motion images of each of the four Defenders, Matt Murdock/Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Danny Rand/Iron Fist (Finn Jones). This poster comes after Defenders characters tweeted at each other in a series of motion posters that debuted on Twitter last month, getting fans ready for the release of this highly-anticipated series.

This is the story of four solitary figures, burdened with their own personal challenges, who realize they just might be stronger when teamed together. The series follows the releases of Marvel's Daredevil, Marvel's Jessica Jones, Marvel's Luke Cage and Marvel's Iron Fist.

Marvel's The Defenders stars Charlie Cox, (Matt Murdock/Daredevil), Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones), Mike Colter (Luke Cage) and Finn Jones (Danny Rand/Iron Fist). When Netflix announced The Defenders premiere date back in May, the Netflix streaming service also debuted a viral website dubbed New York Bulletin, which at the time didn't have much content. That has changed, with the fictional news publication featuring an video interview with Ward (Tom Pelphrey) and Joy Meachum (Jessica Stroup) from Iron Fist, along with an archive of the publication's cover page. There is even an ad for Colleen Wing's (Jessica Henwick) Chikara Dojo, which links to another website for the dojo, featuring a TV spot for the dojo, testimonials and more.

The Defenders wrapped production in April, with Marvel's Joe Quesada unveiling a special poster he designed himself, as a gift to The Defenders cast and crew for all of their hard work on the series. After The Defenders debuts on the Netflix streaming service August 18, fans can also expect to see The Punisher spin-off arrive later this year, although Marvel and Netflix have yet to announce a premiere date. That announcement may come next month at San Diego Comic-Con, but that is only speculation at this point.
