Earlier tonight, a slew of DC Comics TV shows came together in Ballroom 20 for Warner Bros. Television's Superhero Saturday Night, including Fox's Gotham, CBS' Supergirl and The CW's Arrow and The Flash along with the upcoming DC's Legends of Tomorrow, which debuts next spring. There have already been several characters confirmed for DC's Legends of Tomorrow, including Arrow's Atom (Brandon Routh) and the White Canary (Caity Lotz), The Flash's Wentworth Miller (Captain Cold), Dominic Purcell (Heat Wave) and Victor Garber (Dr. Martin Stein), along with new characters such as Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) and Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee). During tonight's panel, executive producer Geoff Johns confirmed one more character, Hawkman, although the character has yet to be cast.

Hawkman, a.k.a. Carter Hall, first appeared in the comics in the 1940s, a reincarnation of the Egyptian prince Khufu, who discovered that the "ninth metal" allowed him to manipulate gravity and give him the power of flight. It isn't known how he will fit into the series quite yet, but it should be noted that a report from last month claimed that The CW is already developing a Hawkgirl spinoff TV series, so it's possible that Hawkman could be a part of that series as well. It isn't known if Hawkman will be introduced in the pilot episode, or later on in the series.

In related news, executive producer Greg Berlanti said that Legends of Tomorrow was like an "Ocean's Eleven-type show," while actress Caity Lotz talked about her transition from Black Canary to White Canary. As you may know, her version of Black Canary was killed in the Arrow Season 3 premiere, but she was resurrected through the Lazarus Pit for this show. Here's what the actress had to say.

"We've seen on Arrow, the people who go into the pit aren't the same person who come out. There's the consequences of that now, and I at least want her to go nuts off her rocker."

Executive producer Marc Guggenheim also teased that the "first few episodes" of Arrow and The Flash will "set the table" for DC's Legends of Tomorrow. Ciara Renee also teased that she has been preparing for her Hawkgirl role by, "reading all the comic books, catching up on Arrow and The Flash, and boxing and martial arts." It isn't known when production on the series will begin, so it may be quite some time before we see the first official footage. In the meantime, check out some of the tweets from the show's writer's room during tonight's panel.
