Elder Cadia of the Sifa Clan is one of the latest images from The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance series, along with quite a few others. The new images are stunning and provide an even better look at the show, which is bringing back the world of real puppeteering and practical effects.

The The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance series includes an absolutely massive voice cast featuring Taron Egerton, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Nathalie Emmanuel leading as Rian, Brea, and Deet, aka, the three Gelfling heroes. Other characters are voiced by Caitriona Balfe, Helena Bonham Carter, Harris Dickinson, Natalie Dormer, Eddie Izzard, Theo James, Toby Jones, Shazad Latif, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Mark Strong and Alicia Vikander. The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance was first announced back in May 2017 by Netflix and The Jim Henson Company. The series is written by Jeffrey Addiss, Will Matthews, and Javier Grillo-Marxuach. Production started the following November with Louis Leterrier at the helm. Fans of the Jim Henson's original movie were excited to know that the prequel was taking things back to using real puppets and practical effects. However, green screens were used to erase the puppeteers, which makes sense. The latest images from the highly anticipated show look like their might be some digital embellishments made for promotional purposes.

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance premieres August 30th, exclusively on Netflix. Fans have been really excited about the series ever since it was announced, but the teaser trailer sent many fans over the edge. Since then, the streaming platform has revealed a ton of new looks and this weekend will bring even more. Expect some more updates after the Comic-Con panel this Friday.
