The Daredevil Season 3 trailer is an action-packed tease of the hit show, throwing more questions into the mix as opposed to answers. Matt Murdock's archenemy Wilson Fisk is out of prison and intent to smear the reputation of the superhero, adding an imposter into the story, who participates in crime instead of fighting it. The already crushed Murdock is on a dark path, which appears to be getting darker as the trailer moves along, questioning his faith and isolating himself from friends and family.

Daredevil Season 3 begins after Matt Murdock has been missing for months and reemerges a broken man, who is questioning his future as both vigilante hero and lawyer by day. It's the return of Wilson Fisk, which makes Murdock choose between hiding from the world or embracing his destiny as a hero. However, things are not going to be very easy, as evidenced by the latest Season 3 trailer. Murdock has to battle a villainous version of Daredevil who is out to ruin his reputation.

Wilson Fisk, fresh out of prison and wearing an ankle monitor, addresses New York to reveal that Daredevil is the "true public enemy," of the city. Fisk has some other tricks up his sleeve that reveal, proving that even though he made a deal, nothing has changed for the better after paying his debt to society. Fisk is now an FBI informant, taking him from behind bars and putting the villain up in a penthouse while being closely monitored, plotting his revenge against Matt Murdock in the process.

According to new Daredevil showrunner Erik Olsen, Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk will mirror one another in the upcoming Season 3. The showrunner confirms that Murdock is in a "very, very dark place." Olsen also reveals that Murdock is not reaching out to friends that believe he is dead after the events of The Defenders. Murdock is a broken man, who has problems with just about everything in his life, which will be amplified with the return of Wilson Fisk. With all of this negative energy, it will be up to Murdock to rise from the ashes and embrace his new future, no matter the consequences.

Erik Oleson serves as showrunner and executive producer for Daredevil. The cast features Charlie Cox (Daredevil/Matt Murdock), Vincent D'Onofrio (Wilson Fisk), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Joanne Whalley (Sister Maggie), Wilson Bethel (Benjamin Poindexter), and Jay Ali (Rahul "Ray" Nadeem). Season 3 returns exclusively to Netflix on October 19th, and as usual, fans will be able to devour all of the episodes at once to learn of the choices that Matt Murdock will make in an effort to clear his name and finally take out Wilson Fisk once and for all.
